Michael Kerton

Born in Southport, Lancashire, Michael came to Australia in 1974. Brought up on Celtic and English folk music, it seemed only natural to sing in a Celtic band. As well as the lead vocal for The Wake he also plays the guitar, mandolin trombone and bohran.  He has made guest appearances with bands such as The Plough Boys, Coogans Heroes, Celtic City Sons, Brindle Hound, and The Mulligans, and with Brian McLaughlin. Michael formed The Wake in 1995 and hasn't looked back.
