Cathryn Kohn

The Wake's accordionist, Cathryn, is primarily a classical violist/violinist who has spent the last five years building her improvisation skills. Six years ago her passion for tango, European folk and Tom Waits's music got too much for her and the only solution was to go with it and take up the accordion. Since then she has played live music venues in Perth with folk and lounge performers/bands such as Perth band King Wasabi, and is now adapting her accordion-playing to Irish music with The Wake.
